It is important that you first want to make a list of all the things that you spend money on each and every month. Do not hesitate to list everything even if it is a small thing. What you want to do is to figure out a way to still enjoy the things you like to buy but reduce the amount you spend on them. A good example is you may like to go and have coffee at Starbucks but to get a cafe mocha each day it can set you back $4. A great option is get the $1.70 regular coffee and add the chocolate mocha that they offer for free. Just this one change alone over a months time can give you over $70 to pay extra on credit card bills.
Remember that it is not hard to reduce your credit card bills it just takes some extra effort to look at what you are paying and find a way to divert that income to reducing your debt.
